Myra's story is a testament to the power of following your heart and pursuing your passion. Despite almost thirty years of experience in finance, she could have easily continued on that path for the rest of her career. However, with a strong desire to aid others through massage therapy and Reiki, Myra took a leap of faith in May 2022, resigning from her position as Director and Head of the Loan Origination Support team at Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank to pursue her true calling.
In July 2022, she had the privilege of working with medically fragile children and young adults at Brooklyn's Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, using massage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Reiki to help them overcome the challenges of disability, illness, and hospitalization. The positive effects of these therapies on their physical and emotional well-being were evident, as the children exhibited greater alertness and spatial awareness, reduced stimming, and more ease in their bodies. This was genuinely one of her most rewarding professional experiences to date.
Myra's adventurous spirit keeps her active and engaged. She enjoys exploring new places, cycling, hiking, and practicing yoga in beautiful locations. Meditation helps her maintain a sense of inner peace, reflecting her dedication to staying healthy and inspiring others to do the same.
Myra holds a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Albany and an Associate of Occupational Studies degree from the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences. She has been licensed in Massage Therapy in New York since 2003 and is a Reiki Master teacher in the Usui System of Natural Healing, actively teaching since 2008.
